Perilous appliances, by Microsoft
There has been a running gag in the computer industry for many, many years that Microsoft-made cars would be crap. Now that Microsoft is trying to get into the consumer appliance business, they indeed seem to be living up to the myth.
On a recent skiing expedition that went wrong, a man risked death using a Microsoft cellular phone. He was fortunately saved by someone who had a Nokia cell phone. And in related news, Microsoft's cell phone technology is continuing the company's practice of horrible security.
Are you still feeling good about their technology?
