Al Franken's new book is already gaining much publicity, thanks to the churlish lawyers over at FOX who have decided to sue Franken and his book publisher for use of the two English words fair and balanced.
The lawsuit is peppered with the type of high-minded language we've come to expect from FOX, calling Franken a parasite and a C-level talking head that is increasingly unfunny. Uh-huh. I think maybe the FOX lawyers were looking at the wrong notes; those sound like descriptions of GOP's favorite once-funny comic, Dennis Miller.
In a symbolic act of sticking a finger in FOX's eye, Atrios has kicked off a protest. In solidarity, this blog's tagline has been updated. This FOX suit is an attempt at censorship to try and stop whom they must feel is enemy #1.
For those who may have missed it, Al Franken managed to draw out Bill O'Reilly's true thuggishness at a book club event a few months ago. There's a Real video clip of the very good forum, with the best part coming in the last half hour or so.
