California politics and synthetic humans

With Arnold “The Terminator” Schwarzenegger running in the California governor recall, concern seems to be growing that machines are taking hold in California.

San Francisco is having a mayorial election. To ferret out synthetic humans, The Wave Magazine put the mayorial candidates through the Voight-Kampff Empathy Test to determine if they are humans or replicants. Only two candidate seemed to pass as clearly human.

Perhaps we aren't yet seeing the rise of the machines, just living in the age of heartless Republicans.
